Vivandieres - This program tells the stories of women who served as Vivandieres with the armies. Many people are surprised to learn that a number of women actually shared the dangers of the battlefield in order to aid the men in their regiments. Two of these women received medals for “bravery under fire.”

For her outstanding efforts, she has been given awards by a number of institutions and organizations, including the Samuel P. Town, ‘Grand Army Award’ by the GAR Museum & Library, the Union League, American Legion Post 405; etc.
